While continued repression of the opposition will see political stability likely to be maintained, Rwanda is coming under increasing external pressure due to its role in regional armed conflicts. Nonetheless, while the US has suspended military support, donor support and investment prospects continue to strengthen, sustaining a positive economic outlook for the coming year.
